Attila the Hun
Attila, which translates to "Little Father", ruled the Hunnic Empire that he established from 434 until his death in March 453. He tormented the Roman Empire, but was never able to fully sack Rome or Constantinople. The Romans referred to him as a barbarian and the "Scourge of God", but he was able to establish a large empire in Central and Eastern Europe.
