Filial Piety
Students will use provided resources to learn about the Chinese concept of "filial piety" and then use knowledge learned to reflect and answer the provided exit ticket.

Ancient Chinese Tombs
Students will use provided resources to explore some of the different tombs and tomb items from Ancient China and use the resources and information learned to complete the assignment.

Oracle Bones
Students will use provided resources to explore the discovery of, purpose of, and information learned from the study of oracle bones. They will complete the provided assignment and explain if they believe oracle bones are significant (why/why not).

China Map Assignment
Students will learn more about the geography of China by completing the provided map assignment.

Silk Road
Students will review, compare, and contrast belief systems found along the Silk Road by analyzing excerpts from primary texts of sacred and philosophical writings to recognize the similarities yet diversity found within the belief systems.
Students will analyze artifacts as cultural and social representations of the Silk Road civilizations and express appreciation or recognition for the creativity and craftsmanship of the artifacts. Students will explore the importance of music for ancient civilizations along the Silk Road and have the opportunity to listen to some of the instruments and finally having a chance to create their own piece of music using the instruments explored. Using knowledge learned, students will construct a reflective response answering the provided prompt. |
